Live webinars | 26 February, 5 March,
and 10 March 2026

Agilent Oil and Gas Insights Series 2026 | Agilent

The Agilent Oil and Gas Insights Series 2026 presents three focused webinars showcasing advanced analytical solutions for natural gas and petrochemical applications. The series covers end‑to‑end natural gas characterization — from compositional analysis to sulphur detection and calorific value determination — followed by a deep dive into liquid chromatography workflows for petroleum products using the Agilent InfinityLab LC Series. The final session highlights fast, robust Micro‑GC technologies for mudlogging, hydrogen‑blended gas monitoring, and odorization control. Together, these sessions equip laboratories and operators with the tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the energy value chain.

Natural Gas with Sulfur by Classical GC

In this seminar, you will learn about the solutions offered by Agilent for the natural gas production, from simple to more complex, including the detection of sulfur compounds in high or trace concentrations. This seminar is useful for understanding the characterization of the product as it comes from the well or once is ready for distribution to the end user. The calculation of the calorific value of the gas is key for this industry and is also covered in this talk.

Simplifying Liquid Chromatography Applications for Petrochemical Products by the New Agilent Infinity III LC Series Technology

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is a cornerstone technology for the characterization and quality control of petroleum products in the oil and gas industry. This presentation introduces the fundamentals of Agilent HPLC systems, focusing on their application in analyzing complex hydrocarbon matrices. We will review key standardized methods, including ASTM D6591 and IP391 for determining aromatic hydrocarbons in petroleum middle distillates, ASTM D7419 for lubricating oils, EN12916:2006 for biodiesel blends, ASTM D6379 for aviation fuels, and ASTM D5186/D6550 for diesel analysis using SFC and FID. Additionally, ASTM D6560 for asphaltene determination in crude oil and petroleum products will be discussed. The session will highlight why and how the new Agilent Infinity III platform, is the preferred choice for delivering accuracy, robustness, and compliance with global standards in the oil and gas sector.
