Agilent is updating the packaging for its chemical standards, with improvements that go beyond just appearance.
In line with our sustainability efforts, we've modernized the design, downsized the box, and completely removed plastic. These changes help minimize the environmental impact of shipping, while making the packaging easier to recycle and supporting a circular economy. The new materials are fully recyclable, further advancing our commitment to sustainability.

To help Agilent meet its sustainability goals and to help you meet yours.
Agilent is committed to improving sustainability by incorporating sustainable practices into our products and by reducing our energy, waste, water, and CO2 emissions. You can learn more about our broader practices, including our Net Zero Commitment and our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
We also strive to help our customers meet their own sustainability goals by reducing the environmental footprint of the products we deliver. We’re moving toward less bulky and smaller packaging that uses 100% paper rather than plastic materials, and we’re adopting online digital certificate of analysis instead of printed materials.
While these changes may seem small, their impact is significant—replacing plastic packaging is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by over 40,000 lbs, and transitioning to digital documentation will eliminate nearly 9,000 lbs of emissions associated with printed materials.
Most importantly, we’re sparing no effort to ensure that all products impacted by these changes continue to fulfill the promise we make in our mission statement: “We deliver trusted answers and insights that advance the quality of life.”
