Agilent 8700 LDIR from the perspective of our customers !
Characterizing and quantifying microplastics in water samples from marine environments is becoming of more importance globally as the world is much more aware of the potential impact of microplastics in our environment.
With modern techniques such as the 8700 LDIR, Agilent and our customers have the ability to gain insight into the impact of these microplastics to the marine environment.
With an estimated 75% of the 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic produced over the last 65 years have turned into waste we can only begin to imagine the possible impact of this on our environment.
With the 8700 LDIR our customers can investigate the true content of microplastics at µm levels, combined with a contamination free sample prep process this allows our customers to gain confidence in their analysis in a much developing area of analysis.
Agilent has been working very closely with our customers within the field of Microplastics and hence here we can share with you, the research work of our customer Lars Hildebrandt from the Institute of Coastal Research, Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany.
