As part of Agilent’s commitment to product improvement, we are excited to announce a comprehensive solution for RNA analysis including total RNA, ribo-depleted RNA, and in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNA. To broaden the scope of IVT mRNA analysis, four new methods designed for low-concentration IVT mRNA samples are now available. These methods enable the analysis of IVT mRNAs up to 9,000 nt and across a wide concentration range of 500 to 10,000 pg/µL.
The following table lists all available methods for the Agilent HS RNA kit (15 nt) (part number DNF-472) and outlines the specifications. The newly developed methods are optimized and validated for non-encapsulated IVT mRNAs using the Agilent FA Capillary Array Short, 33 cm. Examples are shown in Figure 1. For more in-depth information and detailed analysis, please refer to the technical overview linked at the bottom of this page.
Table 1. Agilent HS RNA kit (15 nt) specifications.
Example electropherograms for each method are as follows.
Figure 1. Reference IVT mRNA samples were analyzed on the Agilent Fragment Analyzer systems using the Agilent HS RNA kit (15nt) with the optimized IVT mRNA methods. Overlay electropherograms of an 1,808 nt IVT mRNA sample assessed with A) Method A and B) Method B and of a 9,000 nt sample assessed with C) Method AE and D) Method BE are shown.
B: Method B: 1,808 nt IVT mRNA
C: Method AE: 9,000 nt IVT mRNA
D: Method BE: 9,000 nt IVT mRNA
